June News: My art on TV!

What it’s like seeing your work on TV

Crazy cuckoo bananas. But mostly rewarding and exciting.

Almost a year ago, I got a message from a producer at Magnolia Network letting me know that Joanna Gaines wanted to use my Le Petit Château art print in a room she was designing for her show Mini Reni. And would I sign off on it?

Um, yeah!!! I said yes without hesitation.

After the initial elation faded, I figured it would probably be a tiny thing tucked in a corner, something no one would really notice. But even then, the fact that this powerhouse of a designer chose one of my pieces? That alone felt like a huge honor.

Fast forward to last night. My husband and I were watching the episode from bed... and not only is my Paris print in the room, it’s front and center. And it’s huge.

It was a magic moment for me. Not because I need outward validation to know my work has meaning. But because seeing my art included in a larger project by someone I admire so much reminded me how powerful creative collaboration can be.

It also brought me right back to when I sketched that print years ago, one of the very first pieces I made when I started my business.

A full circle moment that makes me feel incredibly grateful, proud, and happy.

You can shop the ‘Le Petit Chateau’ print seen on Mini Reni below.
